·      
I am
grateful to Dr
Saleem Farooq he
provided me the opportunity to deliver a lecture in his class on the issue of Deen
e Islam.

 

·      
Being a professional accountant, when Allah (SWT),
with His Grace, diverted my attention to Islamic Values, with the passage of time I
realised that in fact there is only one way of life, Deen
e Islam, but Naffas and Shaitan has made a division in it.

 

·      
First the division was made that Deen
and Dunyia are two separate issues. The second
division was they segregated Deen e Islam in different religions.

 

·      
According
to new interpretation, Deen is to
worship Allah and Dunyia is
dealings of day to day life of the world.

 

·      
Therefore, it got implied that Deen
is to study Qur’an
and Hadith and Dunyia is to study Artistic and Scientific
knowledge.

 

·      
Because of the inventions and innovations through Artistic
and Scientific studies products, produces and goods produced led
towards digression from the Right Path, therefore it was assumed that Artistic
and Scientific education creation of the devil.

 

·      
With the Grace of Allah (SWT) I have studied Qur’an and
Hadith and Islamic and world history and browsed Taurat and Injeel. I come to the conclusion that the misconception of Deen and
Dunyia
has established in the minds of the people where the roots are very deep which
are very difficult, if not impossible, to uproot.

 

·      
Students are masons of the nations.
It was felt that their mind should be relieved from the misconception that Artistic
and Scientific studies are not Dunyia but it is purely Deen.

 

·      
In the Qur’an there are many Verses which inspire the
reader to make a research of the creations of the universe. There is also a
connotation of Hadith, the nearest meanings are:

 

Prophet
Mohammed (SAW) said to the effect:

 

Secure ILM even if you have to go to China.

 

·      
At the time
there were no education centers in China for religious education. However,
there must have been some kind of studies which were related to the properties
of the creation of the universe being explored.

 

·      
One of the main object of the project Call
for Peace is to change the Zahnee’at (mentality) of the mankind.

 

A
respected Alim said:

 

Deen Islam:

 

·                
The
Qur’an and

 

·                
The
Sunnah and Hadith

 

·       Are under the preservation and protection of Allah (SWT) and there
cannot be a change or adaptation in those.

 

He said: What has changed is the

 Zahnee’at of
the Mankind.

 

·      
To change the Zahnee’at of the students and otherwise, the books are composed
in a                    rational
style that will appeal to them as they follow the criteria of Artistic
and Scientific studies.

 

·      
Artistic and Scientific
studies clearly reason the Guidance of Allah (SWT) to make researches of the creations of
the universe. Had these researches not been made, how:

 

o   could the man set a foot in the moon?

o  
could
the waves brought under control?

o  
could
the information technology come into being?

o   could the environment’s pollution be cleansed?

o  
could
the distances be shortened?

o  
etc.

 

However, to make the Artistic and Scientific studies

 as Ibadaah

 one has to be a
Good Muslim.

 

·      
To be a Good Muslim:

 

o  
a student just has to offer Salat
five times a day and

 

o  
 keep fast for
the month of Ramadan,
as being a student he is not under an obligation to pay Zakat, perform Hajj.

 

·      
Alhamdu’lillah! By offering Salat with the
sincerity of heart and mind, one can keep away from mischief i.e.

 

o  
lie,

o  
cheating
and deceiving,

o   use of intoxicant,

o  
stealing,

o  
illicit
intercourse,

o   etc.

 

·      
In the Qur’an it is categorically revealed that Salat prohibits
from doing evil things.

 

Translation Surah Al Ankabut Ayat no 45

 

In the Name of Allah,

the Most Gracious, and the Most Merciful

 

Recite (O Muhammad (SAW)) what has been revealed to
you the Book (the Qur’an, and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat). Verily, As-Salat (the prayer)
prevents from Al-Fahsha
(i.e., great sins of every kind, unlawful sexual intercourse) and Al’Munker
(i.e. disbelief, polytheism, and every kind of evil wicked deed) and the
remembering (praising) of (you by) Allah (in front of the angels) is greater
indeed [than your remembering (praising) of Allah in prayers. And Allah knows
what you do.

 

·       The question will come in the
mind that there are muslims who offer Salat but still they indulge in mischief.

 

·      
The answer to the question is that they have not
fulfilled the criteria of offering Salat. To appreciate this, being an Artistic
and Scientific student you are aware that if a scientific theory or
formula is not applied in its entirety and in the same ratios, the produce that
will come into being will not possess the qualities and attributes as it meant
to be. If the ratios are grossly in order, it will be injurious to health.

 

·      
Salat is such an integral part of every Ibadaah that without its performance no
other Ibadaah is recognised by Allah (SWT). For example:

 

o  
when
performing Hajj or Umrah, Salat is not an exemption,

 

o  
keeping
fast, Salat is not exemption

 

·      
It is only
the women who become exempted from the performance of Salat when they give
birth to a child for forty days or for the period of their menstrual cycle. Why? Because they are unclean in these
periods and Salat is offered when body in every
respect is clean.

 

Securing Artistic and
Scientific education will only become Ibadaah if Salat is offered with the
sincerity of heart and mind. Otherwise, it is just like securing education like
a non muslim who do not offer Salat.

 

·       Why the Muslim had been the
pioneer in every field?

 

Extract from the Book of Knowledge:

 

The research on the Properties of the Verses of the
Qur’an can be witnessed in The Book of Knowledge under the chapter ‘Mohammad’
page no. 111 to 112

 

The
Saracens were excellent craftsmen. The sword blades of Toledo and Damascus were
world renowned. Equal skill was shown in the fashioning of vases, lamps, and
other articles of copper, bronze, and silver; in the weaving of carpets and
rugs, which are still unsurpassed; and in moulding of fine glass and pottery.                     

 

A leading form of Muslim art was developed in
architecture. The arabesque decoration of walls, carpets, hangings etc., took
the place of drawings of the human figure, a form of art severely restricted by
tradition in Islam.

 

Sweetmeats, syrups essences, and perfumes were
produced. Paper, without which invention of printing would have
been valueless, came to Europe through Muslims. The finest leather goods came from Cordova and
Morocco.

 

In literature, particularly poetry,
and in science the Muslims attained a high degree of development.

 

The
University of Cairo at one time had 12,000 students. In Spain in the 10 century
a library of 400,000 manuscripts is said to have been collected. Learned Arabs did much to preserve and spread the
writings of the great Greek philosopher Aristotle, after he had been all but
forgotten in Western Europe.

 

 In mathematics, especially algebra, Muslims
scholars led the world. The so – called “Arabic” numerals used today
were introduced into Europe by Arab scholars who brought them from India.

                     

In Astronomy, medicine, and
chemistry they made various notable advances. The richness and grace of the
characteristic Muslim architecture are evident in many lands, from Spain to
India.

                       

Because they were offering Salat.

 

·      
Alhamdu’lillah! Allah has given you the opportunity
to accumulate all the bounties, i.e. to make securing Artistic and Scientific
studies as an Ibadaah.

 

·      
The set of six books published by Call
for Peace ought to be part of your personal library.

 

·      
The book: Qaza Namaz Ki Addaigi will
keep reminding you that if Farad Namaz is not offered at its proper time it becomes a Qaraz
(loan) that has to be paid.

incline you to keep yourself cleansed both bodily and spiritually.

The book: Tazkiyya e Naffas Kayyun Lazim Hai?
will help you to overcome the Fitrat that leads to mischief and let the Conscious dominate
your life style, where your Naffas will be purified and
cleansed.

The book: Namaz
Insan Ki Zindigi Ka Hissa Kayyun Hai? will help you to organise your life in every respect.

 

·      
The book: Namoos e Risalat: Khatim ul Anbiyya Hazrat Mohammed (SAW)
Kay Namoos Ki Hifazat Kayyun Ki Jai? will help you to appreciate the
height of His (SAW) Morality and also guide you to respect elders and be
affectionate to the young ones.

 

·      
The book: Tsunami
Tufan Hameen Kaya Batla Gaia? Will help
you look at the basic beliefs of Islam in a rational manner.

 

 

The
study of the above will lead you to study the Islamic and world history and
that will further lead you to study Qur’an and Hadith, where you will be able
to look that Artistic and Scientific studies are the elaboration of the Qur’an
and Hadith. This will lead you to become the Protector and Promoter of Deen e
Islam and your name will be written in Gold likewise the Muslims of initial
period of Islam.

 

·      
Let the
price of the books nor dissuade to buy them. The set of six books and booklets
is priced at Rs: 2,700.00. If you compare this value with the fee you pay for securing Artistic
and Scientific education and the books of the
syllabus you buy, it will seem negligible. The study of these books will help
you to become:

an
Insan,

o  
a
good muslim,

o   a good student,

o  
a
good teacher,

o   a good friend,

o  
a
good son or a daughter,

o  
a
good brother or a sister,

o   a good father,

 

Do you think to buy the books is a high price to pay?

It has
become customary to give discounts to the students and otherwise. In fact the
discounts are given as the businessman think it is commercially viable.

 

·      
The Project Call for Peace is not meant to be a profitable
commercially. Its profits will be expended for the Introduction, Revival and Promotion of Islam.
I do not feel that anybody wants to curtail its share in promoting Deen
e Islam. In fact people should be inclined to contribute more towards
it by introducing the project to friends, relatives and otherwise.

 

 

The
sincere Dua’a to Allah (SWT) is to bestow Toffeeq to the students of COMSATS
Information Technology to understand and appreciate the representations and let
them be the Pioneer of introducing Artistic and Scientific studies as Ibadaah
likewise Haqooq Allah: Salat, Zakat, Soam, and Hajj.
